The Department of Trauma and Emergency Medicine has refined protocols to deliver best available care when our patients need it most. It is equipped to handle the entire range of medical emergencies, from resuscitations to a minor emergency, critical emergencies to road traffic accidents and industrial disasters. To ensure continuity in life-saving maneuvers, the Emergency department has full-fledged technology and manpower resources to replicate critical care till final disposition.
With the preliminary objective to provide quickest and effective care to patients in emergency, the department is backed by advanced imaging and other specialized equipments with immediate access to Operating Rooms. The department has dedicated modular OT where all the minor procedures are performed, with Radio Diagnostics services (CT/MRI/Digital X-rays) that saves critical time. This is complimented by physicians and surgeons of various disciplines (Medicine, Neuro Sciences, Critical care, surgery, Anaesthesia) and a 24X7 Blood Bank, and Lab services.
The department is backed by fleet of high-end ACLS& BLS ambulances, which are equipped with a transport ventilator, defibrillator, and 12 hours of oxygen back up for longer routes.
Emergency protocols have been developed for numerous common emergencies as per the international standards and protocols.
