Dr Bhanot did his medical education from one of the oldest medical colleges in India. Subsequently, pursuing his interest in spinal surgery, he worked at Govt. Medical College, Chandigarh and trained for three years under the able guidance of Prof. Raj Bahadur who is one of the leading spinal surgeons of the country. He further honed his skills in spinal surgery by doing a long-term fellowship in minimally invasive spinal surgery from Wooridul Spine Hospital, Seoul, South Korea and a short-term observership at Desert Institute of Spine Care, Phoenix, USA. Wooridul is the world’s biggest spine hospital and performs more than 10,000 spinal procedures per year. After learning the most advanced techniques in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery like Keyhole Endoscopic Slip Disc Surgery under Local Anesthesia, he moved back to India and started his clinical work at New Delhi. At present, he is working as chief of spine services at Primus Super Specialty Hospital.
Dr Bhanot has an experience of performing more than 1200 spinal procedures and more than 250 endoscopic and minimally invasive spinal procedures under local anesthesia.

He has pioneered Keyhole Endoscopic Cervical Slip Disc Surgery under Local Anesthesia in India. In addition, he is one of the leading surgeons in India to perform Keyhole Endoscopic Lumbar Slip Disc Surgery and has also pioneered the technique of keyhole spinal fusion for failed spinal surgery cases. His work on this subject has been acclaimed at international level and he is invited faculty at several national and international conferences. His work has also been published in leading international spine journals and he has contributed to textbooks on minimally invasive and endoscopic spine surgeries.
He has a special interest and ability to diagnose the most difficult of spine problems utilizing the most modern investigative tools and also employing various spine injections. This approach has helped Primus Hospital to solve so many of the unsolved spine cases and enable better quality of life to patients who have been suffering from spinal problems from ages.
In addition, Dr Bhanot has a large experience of performing Microscopic spine operations for slip disc, lumbar canal stenosis, cervical canal stenosis, decompression and screw fixation to stabilize the spine, manage spinal infections and correct spinal deformity. 
Spinal injections, is another area that is of special interest to Dr Bhanot. By using spinal injections, He is able to identify the source of pain in a spine patient very accurately and treat it immediately without having to perform any complex spine operation. This philosophy of least intervention in spine patients has helped thousands of patients to lead a better quality of life and generated a significant trust and acceptance among patients, to undergo spine interventions, if the need arises.

Dr. Sandeep Singh has done his MBBS from the prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. He pursued his post graduation in Orthopaedics from University College of Medical Sciences, New Delhi following which he did   a long-term clinical fellowship in Adult Spine Surgery from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. There he got a chance to work with two prominent spine surgeons: Dr. Marcel Dvorak and Dr. Charles Fisher.
Before joining Primus Super Specialty Hospital, Dr. Sandeep was heading the Department of Orthopaedics at Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya Hospital under Delhi Government. He held important posts such as Member Secretary, Disability Board and Member of Medical Board of Delhi Government, South Zone.
Dr. Singh has more than 12 years of experience in the filed of orthopedics and spine surgeries and has successfully performed more than 1000 spine surgeries for various indications. He takes special interest in spinal deformity corrections.
He is the editorial board member of the Indian Journal of Orthopaedics and he is also the reviewer for Journal of Neurology India. He is a recipient of the Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Memorial Award 2008 and J&J travelling fellowship of Indian Orthopaedic Association.

He has more than 15 international publications and has presented numerous papers in various international and national conferences.

 

 

Nipun Bajaj

Dr. Nipun Bajaj completed his medical schooling from Govt. Medical College Amritsar and went on to complete his specialist training in Orthopedics from Tata Motors Hospital at Jamshedpur. He was subsequently awarded Diplomate of National Board in Orthopedics, New Delhi.  Pursuant to his keen interest in Spine Surgery he spent 2 years towards obtaining his superspecialist training in spine surgery at Ganga Hospital Coimbatore. He was awarded Fellowship in Spine Surgery by National Board of Examinations New Delhi, an honour awarded to only 6-7 orthopedic surgeons every year. His dissertation on Lumbar Disc Prolapse won Gold medal for best ‘Clinical Research’ at ASSICON 2010 (annual meeting of Association of Spine Surgeons of India).

 

Training And Experience In Spine Surgery:

Dr. Nipun Bajaj has trained as a spine fellow in Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore, under Dr. S. Rajasekaran. Ganga Hospital is a 400 bedded state-of -the-art tertiary care hospital providing specialist spine care to more than 15000 outpatients and 1500 inpatients every year. The unit performs about 1500 spine surgeries every year and is equipped with facilities for microscopic spine surgery, neuromonitoring and computer navigation. The variety of spine conditions treated includes severe, neglected deformity, spine infections, degenerative disorders and trauma. He is trained in the use of intra-operative neurological monitoring and computer navigation.

He has been working in a designated specialty spine unit for more than 3 years during which he has been involved in more than 500 spine surgeries of varying complexity. He is an expert in surgery and decision making in cases involving all regions of the spine in all pathologies including degenerative disorders, trauma and infections. He has also been routinely performing microscopic spine surgery and computer navigated spine surgery. He has been closely involved in teaching orthopedic residents throughout his post-graduate and super specialty training. He has also been involved in conducting many academic conferences and meetings over the past 5 years.

He has a special interest in performing percutaneous spinal injections that relieve the pain of patients by blocking the nerves that carry pain perception from the spine to brain where pain is perceived. These injections are administered under local anesthesia using image intensifier and the results are evident within minutes of administering the injection. The patient is discharged in after 2 hours of observation. Till now he has helped scores of patients using this technique.
