Nutrition Diet

The key to any successful surgery is definitely a well planned out nutrition and diet planning.  We at Primus after a thorough research and evidence based practice pay utmost attention to the diet needs of our patient. A well defined protocol is followed depending on the physiological needs of the patient. The diet is suitably modified and planned pertaining to any past medical history of diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases and other abnormality.

Usually the night before the surgery you would be restricted from consuming any solid or liquid diet including water.
After 4 hours of surgery or may be prolonged if the patient vomits, a liquid diet is started.
The constituents of the liquid diet way vary from low potassium, low salt, low uric acid or diabetic.
Usually be dinner you would be put on a on a soft diet which would include khichdi, soft lentil, soft vegetable, curd and a dessert. 
If not tolerated the liquid diet is continued till the next morning and later on the soft diet is started again.
